About Us

Our society was formed in 1981 by the Rev David Wiseman, who was then the minister of the United Reformed Church in Poulton.  The society currently has a healthy number of members.

The Aims of the Society are:

● To promote and preserve the history and heritage of Poulton-le-Fylde and its surrounding communities;

● provide a forum for those with an interest in the history and heritage of the town;

● encourage research and the exchange of information on local history.

Navigation around this website

You can usually see our navigation bar near the top of the page, just below our banner. If viewing in portrait mode on a mobile device, you can tap the double horizontal bar at the left to open the full menu.

Clicking or tapping text with the symbol ↗ to its right takes you straight to that page. Hovering over text with a down arrow to the right opens up a sub-menu with multiple options that you can select by clicking or tapping the relevant option.
