Site Makeover: We started this site in January 2024, with limited experience of web design. We are now starting to eliminate some of the rough edges that have been pointed out, and trying to improve its appearance, both on new and existing web pages.
Thatched House Tavern: The article on the Thatched House Tavern has had a complete rewrite. We hope that the update makes interesting reading.
News Clippings: A method to open news clippings from the British News Archives in a new tab or window is incorporated in the rewrite of Thatched House Tavern. This opens a scan of the relevant clipping in their web page. Longer articles may need to be downloaded before they are readable, click the three vertical dots on the web page that is opened.
