Poulton Curve Halt served the direct line from Blackpool North to Fleetwood. 
The original Poulton-le-Fylde station looking towards Fleetwood. The double storey building is the signal box for the area. 
Poulton signal box No. 3; the last remaining of the 5 signal boxes before it was removed when the line was electrified.

The original station was opened in 1840 serving Preston to Fleetwood travellers. The Blackpool branch opened in 1846. 
The replacement station opened in 1896 at the current location. The original station acted as a goods yard for many decades.
